Ο Τάσος Ντόβας, ο δημιουργός της αγαπημένης μας Κασέτας, μας έχει συνηθίσει σε καινοτόμες ιδέες. Πάντα ρισκάρει, βάζει το χέρι βαθιά στην τσέπη με στόχο το καλύτερο δυνατό αποτέλεσμα.

Πολύ μου άρεσε το νέο του "project" που φέρει το όνομα Pic Nic.

Η λέξη picnic, που συνήθως είναι μία, χωρίζεται εσκεμμένα στα δύο για να μας συστήσει τα ΔΥΟ μαγαζιά που δημιουργήθηκαν σε έναν χώρο, ή το ΈΝΑ μαγαζί που δημιουργήθηκε σε δύο χώρους.

Αριστερά το μαγαζί είναι για όσους θέλουν να βιώσουν τη "sweet" εμπειρία με καφεδάκι, αναψυκτικά και γλυκά (κρέπα, βάφλα, παγωτό) και δεξιά για όσους θέλουν να βιώσουν την "grill" εμπειρία (Hot Dog, Σουβλάκι, Bao-Ban). Ένας τεράστιος φίκος στη μέση τα χωρίζει  αλλά στην τελική μοιάζουν ένα αφού μοιράζονται μια κοινή αυλή και μπορείς να καθίσεις όπου θέλεις ανεξάρτητα με το πού θέλεις να φας.

Ο κοινός παρονομαστής είναι το Street food, το δημοφιλέστατο τα τελευταία χρόνια "φαγητό του δρόμου" το οποίο σύμφωνα με τη wikipedia οι άνθρωποι μπορούν να αγοράσουν για διάφορους λόγους, όπως για λόγους ευκολίας, για να πάρουν νόστιμο φαγητό σε λογική τιμή σε ένα κοινωνικό περιβάλλον, για άμεση εξυπηρέτηση, για να δοκιμάσουν έθνικ κουζίνες.

To Street food είναι εμπειρία, και το Pic Nic για να μας βγάλει από το δίλημμα Sweet or Grill, Αλμυρό ή γλυκό, δημιούργησε το Street food 2 σε 1 σε ένα πολύ εντυπωσιακό μαγαζί (ή δύο) με καταπληκτική διακόσμηση, λογικές τιμές που σίγουρα θα ξεχωρίσει και το καλοκαίρι και τον χειμώνα!

Το κατάστημα Pic Nic λειτουργεί με Self Service, με ένα υπερσύγχρονο σύστημα παραγγελίας, που εγώ προσωπικά πρώτη φορά συναντώ-μπαίνεις στο μαγαζί-παραγγέλνεις-παραλαμβάνεις ένα μικρό στρογγυλό "δισκάκι" ( μοιάζει με μικρό ιπτάμενο δίσκο) το οποίο κουδουνίζει και αναβοσβήνει τα φωτάκια του, όταν η παραγγελία είναι έτοιμη-

Καλές δουλειές, Τάσο!

Είμαι σίγουρη πως η επιτυχία είναι βέβαιη και σε αυτό σου το εγχείρημα!

Tasos Dovas, the creator of the much-loved Kaseta, has become known for his innovative ideas. Never afraid to take risks or invest in quality, he consistently aims to create something unique.

His latest project, Pic Nic, immediately caught my attention.

The word "picnic," usually written as one word, has been deliberately split into Pic and Nic to introduce either two different venues in one location or one venue divided into two distinct spaces.

On the left, visitors can enjoy the Sweet experience, featuring coffee, soft drinks, crêpes, waffles, ice cream, and other desserts. On the right, the focus shifts to the Grill experience, serving hot dogs, souvlaki, bao buns, and other savory street food. A magnificent ficus tree stands between the two areas, separating them physically while uniting them through a shared courtyard where guests are free to sit wherever they wish, regardless of what they order.

The common theme is street food—the increasingly popular style of casual dining that combines convenience, affordability, quick service, and a relaxed social atmosphere. It also offers the opportunity to sample flavors inspired by different cuisines from around the world.

Street food is more than just a meal—it's an experience. Rather than forcing visitors to choose between Sweet or Grill, sweet or savory, Pic Nic brings both concepts together in a strikingly designed venue that feels both modern and inviting. With tasteful décor and reasonable prices, it is sure to become a popular destination throughout both the summer and winter seasons.

Pic Nic operates on a self-service basis using a modern ordering system. Customers enter the shop, place their order, and receive a small round electronic pager—resembling a miniature flying saucer—which lights up and vibrates or rings when the order is ready for collection.
