Στην Κω βρίσκονται μεταξύ άλλων, ο Δρ. Ευθύμης Λέκκας (Καθηγητής Δυναμικής Τεκτονικής, Εφαρμοσμένης Γεωλογίας & Διαχείρισης Φυσικών Καταστροφών-ΕΚΠΑ, Πρόεδρος Τμήματος Γεωλογίας και Γεωπεριβάλλοντος, Διευθυντής ΠΜΣ «Στρατηγικές Διαχείρισης Περιβάλλοντος, Καταστροφών και Κρίσεων» και Πρόεδρος Οργανισμού Αντισεισμικού Σχεδιασμού και Προστασίας ) και ο Ηλίας Αργύρης (τότε Προϊστάμενος Τμήματος Περιβάλλοντος Ρόδου, πρώην Υπεύθυνος Πολιτικής Προστασίας Δήμου Ρόδου) ως Μάρτυρες στην πολυαναμενόμενη δίκη για τη θεομηνία που χτύπησε τη Ρόδο στις 22/11/2013 και που στοίχισε τη ζωή σε 4 άτομα. Η ακροαματική διαδικασία δεν ολοκληρώθηκε σήμερα και θα συνεχιστεί τις επόμενες μέρες...

Dr. Efthymis Lekkas on Kos

Among those present on Kos are Dr. Efthymis Lekkas—Professor of Dynamic Tectonics, Applied Geology and Natural Disaster Management at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA); President of the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment; Director of the Master's Programme "Environmental, Disaster and Crisis Management Strategies"; and President of the Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization (EPPO/OASP)—and Ilias Argyris, then Head of the Department of Environment of Rhodes and former Head of Civil Protection for the Municipality of Rhodes.

Both are appearing as expert witnesses in the long-awaited trial concerning the devastating storm that struck Rhodes on 22 November 2013, claiming the lives of four people.

The court proceedings were not concluded today and will continue over the coming days.
